As an avid swimmer and swim coach. I know that sometimes you can't always make it to the pool when a coach is on deck. This blog is for those swimmers that want a workout to bring with them when they may not have a coach around.

UCSD Monday Evening 5/13/13: Distance Day
Warm Up: 1000m
Main Set: 3000m
Total: 4000m
I may have been a little ambitious today but all 26 of the masters today were troopers!
Good for: Mid-distance freestylers, especially good for those getting back in shape
Excite-o-meter: Mildly amusing. Like eating store bought cookies or pasta that isn't fresh.
Tips: Don't do it alone! It will be too tempting to not get past the 600 or completely omit it. If I weren't lane locked into my lane, I would have considered dropping it. :D
Notes: The set looks far more intimidating that it really is (lots of B+30). I liked how the hardest was in the middle. Past the 600 was fairly easy. The 50's at the end was a good way to end the workout.
